OKâlaKatiget Employees Wear Purple in Honour of Loretta Saunders

OKâlaKatiget employees wore purple today in honour of Loretta Saunders.

Saunders was the Inuk woman who was tragically murdered on February 13, 2014 by Blake Leggette and Victoria Henneberry.

Leggette and Henneberry were sentenced today in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia in Halifax.

Judge Josh Arnold sentenced Henneberry to 10 years without parole after pleading guilty to 2nd degree murder.

Leggette was sentenced to life in prison, without a chance of parole for 25 years, after pleading guilty to first degree murder.
