The Nunatsiavut Group of Companies announced today that Nunatsiavut Construction has been contracted by BMO to convert its banking agency in Nain to an ATM service. Work will begin on October 2, and conclude by November 1.
The BMO agency will close the present location at 3:00 PM on Monday, October 2, and move to a temporary office next door in the existing location on Sandbanks Road. NCI plans to have this work completed by October 9, for reopening on October 10. During the move, banking services will be unavailable.
NGC is aware that these changes will cause some inconvenience.
BMO has issued a public notice. NGC has requested that BMO address community concerns through a public meeting or some other suitable forum prior to the changeover to an ATM service.

We’re excited to tell you about the increased banking services BMO will soon be providing for the Nain Community.
Later this year, we will be phasing out the Nain Agency so that we can bring you two full-service, automated teller machines (ATM) that will give you more banking options. You’ll now be able to:
• make deposits
• make withdrawals
• pay bills
• make transfers
• check your account balance
• view your transaction history
These state-of-the-art ATMs are the same ones we use across Canada, and you’ll have access to them from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
You’ll need your existing BMO Bank Card to use the ATMs. Please remember to keep your card safe. Never tell anyone your confidential PIN number, and don’t store it with your card.
To celebrate this exciting banking change, members of the BMO Community will be on site for the official ribbon cutting. We’ll be giving live demonstrations on these new ATMs and serving light refreshments. Stay tuned for further communication on the official date. We hope to see you there.
