The Nigivik Centre is now offering their first program this week in Nain.
This program is offering youth to learn and watch how to skin a seal skin.
Shelly Dicker is the Community Food Coordinator.
She says the Seal Skin cleaning program begins this Thursday December 06 and December 07, 2018.
Dicker says right now they are looking for youth to participate in the Seal Skin Cleaning workshop for youth from ages 16 years to 35 years.
Dicker says they have 5 to 6 space available for youth, the instructor will be Maria E Merkuratsuk.
Here are the dates to follow: Thursday, December 06 from 1-4 pm and Friday, December 07 from 9 am-12 pm and 1-4 pm.
She adds that the sealskins will be provided.

Dicker adds that they are also doing a Seal Skin Mitt making workshop next week starting on December 10, 11, and 12 for youth ages 16-35 years.
Deadline to apply for the Seal Skin Mitt Making Workshop is tomorrow Wednesday December 05.
The Centre will be offering a Baking program tomorrow starting 9 am, anyone who wants to learn how to bake can contact Shelly as well; they are looking for at least 3 or 4 people.
