NGC Continues to Send Wood to Nain and Hopedale

Nunatsiavut Group of Companies (or NGC) has delivered wood to the communities of Nain and Hopedale for the fifth consecutive year.

The wood is from the Muskrat Falls project near Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL.

OK Radio spoke with Adam Brown, Vice President of Operations with NGC.

Brown says that NGC decided to send the cords of wood in early September, before the bad weather usually starts, rather than sending it in October or November.

The wood is for seniors, single parents, and people who are unable to access wood.

Brown adds that 80 cords were sent to Nain, and 70 to Hopedale.

He is also uncertain if the wood will be sent to Nain and Hopedale next year, as it is getting really rotten.
