NFB Tour Taking Place in Nunatsiavut

The National Film Board is in Goose Bay for a tour with two Inuit filmmakers.

Asinnajaq, also known as Bella Weetaluktuk, and Echo Henoche are accompanied by NFB producer, Stephen Agluvak Puskas.

The scheduled plans of the Labrador tour include going to the five North coast communities and Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL, where they’re at now.

This morning, there was a screening at the Northern Cross Church, with afternoon workshops at Mealy Mountain.

At 7 pm tonight is a community screening at the Lawrence O’Brien Centre, presented as part of the Labrador Creative Arts Festival.

Weather permitting, tomorrow’s schedule is to get to Rigolet, with afternoon workshops at Northern Lights Academy, and a community screening at 7 pm at the Rigolet Community Hall.

Here’s a list of the rest of the tour’s schedule, weather permitting:

In Makkovik on Wednesday, November 22 with workshops in the afternoon at John
Christian Erhardt Memorial School, then a Community screening at 7 pm at the Community Hall.

In Postville on Thursday, November 23 at 7 pm with a Community screening at the Postville Inuit Community Government.

In Hopedale Friday November 24, with afternoon workshops at the Amos Comenius School, then a 7 pm community screening at the City Hall.

Last, but not least, is Nain on Saturday, November 25, with afternoon workshops at the Primary school multi-purpose room, followed by a Community screening, again at the Primary school, at 7 pm.
