Nain Residents Still Without Cable

Nain residents have been without their cable service for nearly a week and a half now.

Residents of the community lost their service last Monday.

OKalaKatiget Radio has been getting a number of different answers each time they try to contact the service provider, Eastlink.

A representative for Eastlink first told us that crews were in the community trying to determine the source of the outage when we first called a week ago.

We were also told last week that the problem could be either one of two things: a signal issue or damaged equipment.

We contacted Eastlink again this week.

A representative says the best thing to do is to have each of the cable subscribers who lost their service contact Eastlink.

Same old run around older cable companies gave years ago, same with Ex Vu when things were bad, the more things change the more they stay the same.

I would suggest all cable subscribers not pay their bills until the thing is fixed.
It’s not like they can cut you off.
