Nain Recreation Halloween Events Schedule Posted

Halloween is coming up soon.

The Recreation Department in Nain has lots of fun events planned for Halloween.

Here is the schedule of events:

On October 23 from 6 to 8 pm, ages 8 to 12 year olds can make caramel apples.

On October 24 from 6 to 8 pm, ages 5 to 7 year olds will be able to make caramel apples as well.

On October 25, ages 8 to 12 year olds will have Halloween craft making from 6 to 8 pm.

On October 26, it’s 5 to 7 year olds’ turn to make crafts.

A Seniors 55 and up Halloween party and cash bingo is on the 27th from 11 am to 2 pm.

Costume judging goes at 12 noon.

First place gets $100 plus a free bingo card, second place receives $75 and a bingo card, and third place gets $50 and a bingo card as well.

There’s going to be 5 bingo games, and bingo prizes also include Halloween treats.

Other games include Pass the Parcel, Musical Chairs, Guess How Many, and Bean Bag Toss.

Seniors attending will have a chance to win a door prize of a grocery hamper as well.

Children aged 5 to 12 can watch Monster House from 3 to 5 pm on the 28th, and popcorn will be for sale.

At 7 pm, youth aged 13 and up will be watching the Chucky trilogy.

Popcorn will also be for sale.

On October 29, there’s adult’s dress up, and a cash bingo at 6 pm.

Costume judging will be at 6, before bingo starts.

First place is $100, second place is $75, and third place is $50.

Bingo cards will be $20, and the jackpot is $1500.

The door prize will be a Halloween surprise bag.

If you dress up, you can get five tickets for the door prize.

Monday, October 30 is the Community Halloween dance at 6 pm.

Costume judging will be at 6:30 pm.

The age category for the costume judging is 0 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 12, and 13 to 15.

While the dance is going on, other games will be going on in the lobby, and helium balloons and grab bags will be sold at this time.

Those that dress up also get 5 extra tickets for the door prize.

The door prize is an iPad mini.
