NAIG Games Update

Team Newfoundland and Labrador is now in  8th place with 18 medals at the National Aboriginal Indigenous Games in Regina, Sakatchewan.

The team now has four gold, seven silver, and seven bronze.

Athletics, wrestling, swimming and rifle shooting events are now complete.

Volleyball and badminton is still  going on for both female and male athletes.

Team NL’s badminton players will be playing for medals today.

Dylan Andersen and Mandy Smith will be playing in Mixed Doubles against a team from British Columbia.

And Emily Alexander and Sydney Ford will be playing against Team Saskatchewan.

In Male Doubles, Dylan Andersen and Sydney Ford will be playing against Team Saskatchewan.

In Volleyball in the female division, Team NFLD and Labrador will play against Nova Scotia and again against Nunavut.

In the Male Volleyball division, Team NL will be playing against North West Territories and Team Ontario.

The games will end this Sunday July 27th.
