Mining Foundations LATP

The mining foundations program is a pre-employment six week program that is designed to prepare learners who are interested in moving forward on a career path into the mining industry.

This training provides students with a general overview of the many job possibilities and related requirements for employment in this industry.

An experiential learning environment will be created with the use of the college’s underground mining simulator.

Practical hands-on skill development will also occur in the trades shops with exposure to the use of hand and power tools.

All programs are based on sufficient enrolment.

Entrance requirements are successful completion of grade nine.
