The MHA for the Torngat Mountains district, Randy Edmunds, sat in the House of Assembly for the first time on Tuesday.
MHA Edmunds says he was humbled to be able to address the members of the house.
The MHA brought a number of issues from our region to the attention of house on Tuesday afternoon.
Those issues include marine shipping on the north coast and the need for a Search and Rescue centre here in Labrador.
The MHA is set to introduce a private members resolution on Wednesday afternoon in the house.
The resolution will call on government to further investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Burton Winters.
