Employees of the Makkovik Fish Plant are busy preparing for the upcoming season.
Junior Andersen is the Production Manager for the plant.
He says crews are cleaning the plant in preparation for the crab season.
The crab season opens today.
Andersen says there are currently nine crab boats that will be harvesting for the plant.
The Makkovik Fish Plant will begin processing crab on June 21.
