Labrador Land Protectors Shut Down Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs Office for a Day- Served Court Orders

The Labrador Land Protectors held a protest outside of the Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs office in Happy Valley- Goose Bay, NL on Friday, January 13, 2017.

Erin Saunders, a Labrador Land Protector, was there.

Saunders says there were about 10 of them protesting outside of the office in the morning.

Saunders had her tent set up outside of the building.

The Labrador Land Protectors blocked the employees of the Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs from going inside of the building at 8:30 a.m.

The office was shut down for the day.

The RCMP were parked at the Service Canada Building.

A Sheriff served the Labrador Land Protectors an Interlocutory Court paper.

They are unsure as of right now when they will be summoned to go to court for protesting outside of the Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs office.

Saunders adds they won’t be going back to the Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs office to protest.
