KinderStart Program

KinderStart is a school transition program offered in the year prior to Kindergarten entry.

The Jens Haven Memorial Primary School in Nain, held their first parent orientation session and first day of KinderStart on Monday October 20, 2014.

This year marks the highest number of children attending the JHM Primary School KinderStart program.

In total there are 24 children enrolled in the program.

Shannon Webb and Irene Webb are the kindergarten teachers that will be holding the KinderStart program once a month.

Each child received resource bags to learn more on home activities.

The Kinderstart bag contains: Dual sided dry erase board with crayons, construction paper, a clipboard, tray, paint, pencils, scissors, a KinderStart journal, and two children’s books.

The program consists of ten orientation sessions organized and promoted at the school level for children and their parents/caregivers.

The next KinderStart program will be on November 20, 2014 in Nain.
