Noah Nochasak and his fellow kayakers are expected to arrive in Nain this weekend after nearly a month of paddling.
Levi Nochasak, Noah’s father, says the group of three arrived at the Torngat Mountains base camp on Thursday.
They’re expected to catch a flight from the base camp to Nain on Saturday.
The group was forced to abandon their plans of paddling 950 kilometres to George River, Nunavik, after Noah suffered a wrist injury.
Their journey began nearly a month ago on July 6.
