John Nui Re-Elected Chief

The Mushua Innu First nation held their re-election for Chief in Natuashish.

John Nui has been re-elected as the Mushua Innu First Nation Chief.

Nui earned 331 votes and Simeon Tshakapesh earned 152 yesterday, who have also been previously chief before.

Chief Nui will sit for another 3 years, with a council consisting of Matthias Rich, Simon Pokue, Angela Pasteen and Mary Lucy Dicker.

Nui’s priority issue lists are the community housing problem including overcrowding, mould, and renovations.
