Ice Conditions in Makkovik and Rigolet

With the temperatures dropping, people are travelling on the ice in and around the communities of Rigolet and Makkovik.

Todd Broomfield is the conservation officer in Makkovik.

He says the ice is starting to get more thicker and more snow; there are people travelling between Makkovik and Postville.

David Wolfrey is one of the Conservation Officers in Rigolet.

He stated that the ice is getting thicker but not a lot of snow dropped, and people started traveling to and from Happy Valley-Goose Bay last week.

We will get an update on the ice conditions in Nain, Hopedale, and Postville once they becomes available.
