The DHSD Building in Happy Valley-Goose Bay also has events for this month.
Sharon Edmunds is the leader for the Community Health Worker with DHSD.
She says that there is a Child Development Program from 9 am-12 pm and a Youth Group Program from 3:30-5:30 pm every Tuesday at the DHSD.
Edmunds says the Positive Connections program is held from 1-2:30 pm every Wednesdays.
Elders’ Sewing Circle takes place at the DHSD from 1-2:30 pm every Thursdays.
Sharon says there are Long-Term Care Visits and Headlines every second week.
There is also a Diabetes Lunch every first Monday of each month.
Every third Friday, the DHSD holds an Elders’ Social.
For Halloween, they will have a Family Pumpkin Carving and Craft Making at the end of this month.
We will get updates on when the Halloween events is going to happen before the end of the month.
The Postville DHSD is also busy holding some events for this month.
Barbara Edmunds is the Community Health Worker in Postville for DHSD.
She says on Thursday October 17, they will hold a seniors dinner at 12 pm located at the DHSD.
That evening they will also have a Paint Night for Grades 7 and up at the Recreation Centre at 7 pm.
There will also be a Family Pumpkin Carving from 6 pm and followed by a Ghost Story Telling at 8 pm at the DHSD.
There will be a Potluck for only adults at the Recreation hall at 5 pm on Saturday, October 26.
On the 29th of October, there will be a Teen Movie Night at 7:30 pm at the DHSD building.
We will get the Rigolet DHSD events when it becomes available.
