Hopedale Nanuit Girls Win Provincials

The Amos Comenius Memorial School Nanuit girls from Hopedale, NL have won the Provincial Volley Ball Tournament.

Nicole McLean is the coach for the ACMS Nanuit Girls.

McLean travelled to Deer Lake, NL with the ACMS Nanuit girls on Wednesday, November 30th.

They stayed overnight, then travelled to King’s Point, NL the following day.

The Provincial volley ball tournament started that Thursday evening,
December 1st, and they played until the following Saturday, December 3rd.

They competed in the “A” Division of the Provincial volley ball tournament.

The team won first place overall.

The girls brought home the provincial banner, and gold medals.

Kendra Winters was named the Most Sportsmanlike Player, and brought home a medal.

Winters is 12 years old, and in grade 7.
