Is it a memorable event to watch a NHL hockey game in person.
We spoke with Christa Angnatok from Nain, and she had the opportunity to do so.
Angnatok says she travelled to Montreal Quebec to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs and Habs game in the Bell Centre on Saturday evening at 7pm.
The Toronto Maple Leafs won in overtime 4-3 against the Montreal Canadians.
She says earlier that day, February 9 at 2pm, she also went to watch the CWHL hockey game, it’s a Canadian women’s hockey league at the “centre Étienne desmarteau” arena.
The teams that were playing were the Montreal women’s team, Les Canadiennes, and the women’s Toronto team, Toronto Furies.
There are women from Team Canada and Team USA that play in this league, so she was pretty excited to get a chance to watch them play.
Especially some of her favourites, Marie-Philip Poulin who is the captain of team Canada, Natalie Spooner, Jill Saulnier, Hilary Knight and so on.
Angnatok says she had the chance to get a picture with her favourite team the Les Canadiennes and some autographs from both teams.
Angnatok says it was such an amazing trip and said ” I would do it all over again”.
