Gas Price Predictions: Going Down

Fuel prices will be going in the opposite direction of where they went last week.

A week ago, people were beginning to line up ahead of a 14-cent per litre hike in the price of gas caused mostly by Hurricane Harvey.

However, the Consumer Group for Fair Gas Prices predicts a 7-cent per litre drop tomorrow.

Spokesman George Murphy says Harvey’s effects on the market are beginning to settle down.

Only six per cent of capacity remains offline.

Murphy expects prices for heating and stove oil to hold steady, and diesel to drop by about a cent per litre.
