Gas, Diesel Predicted To Continue Decline

The Consumer Group for Fair Gas Prices is forecasting another drop in gas this week, though not as dramatic as last week’s price decrease.

Spokesman George Murphy indicates that consumers could see it fall by just under a cent (6/10ths) while diesel will drop by about a cent and a half (1.4).

Murphy is also predicting stove and heating oil to go down as well this week, losing about 2 cents a litre.

The group is chalking the decrease up to increasing inventories as markets recover from recent hurricanes.
