A Polar bear was killed in Hopedale last week.
James Goudie is the Wildlife Manager for the Nunatsiavut Government.
He says Kevin Flowers had his kill North of Hopedale.
Goudie says it was a big bear about ten feet long.
It was the first polar bear taken in Nunatsiavut this year.
He adds anyone who would like to harvest a bear can go to their conservation officer and register for a licence.
