The winners’ names for a drum of gas under the Communal Food Fishery have been announced.
Todd Broomfield is the Fisheries Specialist with Nunatsiavut Government.
He says the names were picked on September 16.
That was a day after the deadline for the fishermen to bring back their fishery logs to the Conservation Officers in their towns.
Broomfield says the following were the winners of a drum of gas:
Joe Webb- Nain
Piercy Boase- Hopedale
Cecil Jacque- Postville
Andy Voisey- Makkovik
Marion Shiwak- Rigolet
Cecil Flowers- North West River
and Archie Best of Happy Valley- Goose Bay.
