Rigolet’s fire hall work is ongoing, and so is the boardwalk.

We spoke with Rigolet AngajuKkâk Jack Shiwak.

He says that the boardwalk extension should be wrapped up by mid-September.

Postville summer projects are nearing completion, and should be finished in a week or two.

Town Manager Shirley Goudie says the projects they are working on include ground work, landscaping and ditches and a ramp around the community centre.

They are still waiting on an inspector to inspect the floor on the new fire hall, and it will take a while yet.

They are also having problems with the flooring at the new fire hall.

The next project will be building 10 new fire hydrants at Postville.

Makkovik has started putting a south side extension onto the boardwalk.

We spoke with Town Manager Terry Rice.

He says that they will be starting today on the boardwalk that will be coming out behind the arena.

Hopedale’s summer students are finished working now.

The leak detection is still ongoing up until funds run out.

Town Manager Kitora Abel adds they will be having a fall clean up in October.
