Nunatsiavut Group of Companies (NGC) is offering a Certified Bear Safety Workshop for Nunatsiavut.
Derrick Pottle is the Instructor for the workshop.
He says that he owns a bear safety planning company and NGC asked if he would teach 5 training courses in February and the first week of March.
The first training program will be held in Nain on February 5, 6, and 7.
Tomorrow and Saturday the training will be held at the NG building and on Sunday it will be at the Nain dump area from 9-12 noon.
They will be using live rounds, bear bangers and bear deterrence, so he is asking the public to use extra caution around this area.
Then he is off to Rigolet on February 11-12th, in Hopedale from the 19th to the 21st, and in Postville from the 26th to the 28th.
His last trip is to Happy Valley-Goose Bay from March 4th to 6th, 2016.
