The RCMP Detachment in Happy Valley- Goose Bay received a call early this morning, stating there was a fire at the Goose Bay Sports store.
Sergeant Howard Fitzpatrick is with the HVGB Detachment.
He says they received a phone call at 1am by a person passing by in a car.
Once they received the call the RCMP reported the location to the local fire department.
Fitzpatrick says the fire is still under investigation and the firefighters are busy on the scene.
The building is completely destroyed and firefighters are still putting out the burning embers.
Fitzpatrick says there was no injuries and no homes nearby were damaged.
Fire investigators will be coming in tomorrow to investigate the cause of the fire.
