Festivities to commemorate Nunatsiavut’s 10th Anniversary have already started in Nain, Nunatsiavut.
Sean Lyall is the Minister of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism and the Ordinary Member for Nain.
Lyall says there was a 10th Anniversary Film Festival that took place last night at the Jens Haven Memorial Primary School Multi-Purpose Room.
Artifacts will be displayed on Monday, November 30th at the Nunatsiavut Government building.
On Dec 1st, the big celebration will start at the 4 to 12 Jens Haven Memorial School Gymnasium following a parade at 10 am.
Gary Mitchell is the Chair of the NunaKatiget Inuit Community Corporation.
Mitchell says that festivities will start on December 1st in Happy Valley- Goose Bay.
Festivities will take place at the College of the North Atlantic Gymnasium from 4 – 9 pm.
Transportation will be provided for people requiring rides.
