Caroline Nochasak Wins Award (Audio)

A former student from Jens Haven Memorial School, Caroline Nochasak, recently came back from the Arctic Net Conference in Ottawa.
The conference was held from December 8-12.
Nochasak was given the Inuit Partnership of Excellence Award.
She did research with her group on Inuit Youth and their health two years ago in Kuujjuaq.
Nochasak says this award was unexpected and she was overwhelmed to receive the award.
She was chosen out of 166 students, and rewarded a $100 cheque and handmade mitts.
This conference was for the international Arctic Change 2014.
It aims to stimulate discussion and foster collaborations among people with a vested interest in the Arctic and its peoples.
This year marks the 10th anniversary for Arctic Change.
