The Toronto 2017 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) started Sunday, July 16th and run until July 21st, 2017.
Jeremy Holwell, a 15-year-old from Nain, was the province’s first athlete to win a medal, a bronze, on Tuesday July 18th in the 3KM Race.
Holwell won another bronze yesterday, this time in the 1200 metre sprint.
More Medals for Team NL at the North American Indigenous Games went to Sheshatshiu wrestlers Marcus Organ, Aaron Pater and Josh Dyke, who all earned bronze in their weight classes.
