The 2016 Inuit studies conference was held in St. John’s this past long weekend.
Sean Lyall, the Minister of Culture, Recreation and Tourism with the Nunatsiavut Government, and the ordinary member for Nain, took part in the conference.
He says the event was a tremendous success.
The Nunatsiavut Government was very pleased to be co-hosting the event, along with Memorial University in St. John’s.
Lyall added this is the first time that the Inuit Studies Conference was co-hosted by an Inuit government.
