2016 Ethel Pijogge Memorial Heritage Festival

The 2016 Pijogge Memorial Heritage festival was scheduled to start in Hopedale yesterday, but will be starting this weekend.

Registration for the Fishing Contest and the Labrathon will take place at the Nanuk Community Center tomorrow from 2 to 4 pm.

The Festival will start off on Saturday April 2, 2016, with the Annual fishing contest, which begins at 6 am and finishes at 7 pm.

The Labrathon will start at 1:30 pm on Sunday.

On Tuesday April 5, there will be a community feast at the Nanuk community Centre, followed by a Traditional Dress contest, then a Beauty Contest.

There will be a Seniors Luncheon on April 7 at 12 noon, and then in the evening a Giant Radio Bingo takes place.

Then to end off the Festival, on Saturday April 9, the Annual Heritage Dog Team Race is off and running at 9 am.
