The Young Men in Nain held their first Young Men’s Day meeting was held at the Fire Hall last evening.
Johnny Ikkusek is the Supervisor for the event.
The Young Men’s Festival Day is celebrated on January 25th, and this year it falls on a Saturday.
Ikkusek says 6 young boys attended the meeting, another meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, at the Nain Fire Hall at 5 pm.
He says the Captains are Abele Ikkusek and Dennis Merkuratsuk.
Ikkusek says the fee for the first timers to have their day is $15 and the second timers, $25.
Right now they are looking for donations, a tree, table and chairs, helpers and cooks.
Ikkusek adds there are 9 eligible first timer boys who turned the age of 15 and can join the celebration this year.
So if anyone young men who would like to have their day on January 25th, they can attend the second meeting tomorrow Friday at the Nain Fire Hall at 5 pm.
