The new 7 Plex here in Nain should be completed by December of this year.
The funding was received from the Federal Government to the Nunatsiavut Government under the housing initiative.
Michelle Kinney is the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development.
They began the construction this summer, similar to the one in Hopedale.
The purpose of the building is for families who are involved with Children, Senior’s and Social Development (CSSD), or is planning on having their children back with them with proper housing and support.
The only update we received so far from Kinney is that the regulations will go to the Nunatsiavut Executive Council next week.
Once the regulations are passed, they will then put out the application forms.
