The UNAAN Artist Program is looking for artists who want to explore and express their heritage through visual artwork. One prize will be awarded annually and will be chosen based on submitted proposals and supporting documentation. The program is designed for visual artists to focus on their craft.
UNAAN is committed to the people of Innu & Nunatsiavut Inuit communities in Labrador and they are proud to provide this grant to recognize and encourage the important cultural talents of the region.
This program is for aboriginal candidates from 16 years and older, art can include but is not limited to textiles, graphic design, ceramics, illustration, painting, crafts, and photography.
The value of the grant is $1000.00 along with financial support, UNAAN will showcase the winner’s artwork on their social media channels and website throughout the year, please submit your application with required documentation no later than September 29, 2023.
