The Nunatsiavut Government Status of Women’s office will be hosting Leadership workshops for Inuit women in each Nunatsiavut community and Upper Lake Melville.
Lynn Hammond of Equal Voice NL will be travelling to each community to host a one day workshop on how to run a campaign, building self-confidence and looking at an election tool kit specific for Nunatsiavut.
The Status of Women’s office hopes to encourage more Inuit women to think about running for office in the upcoming Nunatsiavut elections.
The workshop dates are:
Makkovik March 21st at the Community Hall
Rigolet March 22nd at the Community Hall
North West River March 23rd at the Community centre
Happy Valley-Goose Bay March 24th at Regional DHSD, Kelland Drive office
Postville April 12th at the Community Center
Hopedale April 13th at the Assembly Building
Nain April 14th at the NG Administration Building
