The Jens Haven Memorial School (JHMS) Huskies came back from volleyball regionals over the weekend and will be going ahead to the Provincials.
The JHMS Huskies of Nain, Menihek High School of Labrador City, the Mealy Mountains Collegiate School Hawks of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and the Sheshatshui Innu School were in the regionals.
Matthew Mercer is the coach for the JHMS Huskies.
He says the girls team served well, had fun, and showed a lot of sportsmanship. The boys team got some high scores and did a lot of good defenses.
The Boys’ team came first in their division and the girls team came third.
Congratulations to Peyton Dicker for getting the Girls’ Sportsmanship Award and Tristan Denniston for getting the Most Valuable Player award.
