TRHA Materials Update

The closer it is for the shipping and freight season for this fall is coming fast, and is now only 2 weeks and 4 days away, according to Labrador Marine Inc.

Within the construction for Torngat Regional Housing Association housing, it’s been a slow season to get materials in by the boat, due COVID-19.

William Lucy is the Co-ordinator for Torngat Housing.

He says the materials they’re waiting for is mainly sidings for the new homes.

Lucy says the sidings are now in Goose Bay, and ready to be shipped up on Kamutik W’s next trip up.

The other materials include cabinets which are still down to the Island.

At this time he could not say when the construction of the new homes and repairs will complete this season, it’s a bit too early to say.
