Today, April 7, the events started with Children Ice Games and they are going on until 3pm at the Nain harbour.
Children’s games are Snowshoe Race, Gas Can Race, Floss Race, Blindfold Race, Head Knees & Toes, Horse Obstacle Race and Stick Throw.
There will be Adults Inuit Games this evening from 7-10pm with a maximum of 50 people located at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Centre.
The Inuit games are Owl Hop, One-Foot-High Kick, Airplane, Seal Crawl, Monkey Dance, Musk Ox, Arm Wrestling, Knuckle Hop, Knuckle Push Ups, and One Arm Push Up.
There will also be a Plastic Bag Skin Boot Making Contest for adults from 7pm at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Centre.
All designs and everything else must be made of plastic bags, you can also use clear tape to keep the design together and for attaching designs.
1st prize is $250, 2nd prize is $150, and the 3rd prize is $75.
Also, at 7pm there will be a Cake Decorating Contest.
Your cakes must be delivered by 7pm for judging, and please use the back door at the building.
Winners will be announced at 7:30pm; 1st place will get $250, 2nd place $175, and 3rd place $100.
