Nain Community Freezer Needs Wild Food

The Nain Community freezer would like to inform residents that the Community Freezer does not have any wild food in the freezer to distribute to the community.

Dorothy Angnatok is the Research Outreach worker.

She says they have one more shipment of moose meat left to be distributed to those in need of food.

Hunters within the community can help provide wild food for the community freezer.

Hunters who have a Firearms Acquisition Certificate (FAC) can go out and hunt for the freezer.

The Community Freezer will provide gas and ammunition.

They also provide gas to those that want to go fishing for the freezer.

Right now the community freezer is looking for two hunters that have an FAC to hunt for moose.

There are 2 moose licences available for the freezer that need to be filled.

Angnatok says they are looking for any wild meat such as seals, partridges, fish, and anything to fill up the freezers.

You can contact Dorothy Angnatok for more information at 922-2380.
