On Friday, May 10, 2019, RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay received a report of a 29-year-old man recovering in hospital from a knife wound that required immediate medical attention.
A 31 year old Happy Valley-Goose Bay man, Michael Lidd was charged with attempted murder by the Nfld & Labrador Provincial Court followed by an investigation on Friday, May 17, 2019.
The Labrador General Investigation Section along with Forensic Identification Services and Police Dog Services conducted an extensive investigation into the incident. Later then, police arrested Mr. Lidd.
Following his court appearance on May 17, 2019 he was held in custody and will reappear in court on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019.
