The 27th Annual Trout Festival in Makkovik starts tomorrow.
The Build Your Own Boat race starts at 9:30 am.
Boats must be made only of duct tape, cardboard and bubble wrap.
The race is for ages 7-14, and 15 and up.
Prizes will be given for the nicest boat and fastest time.
Watermania for ages 12-14 will begin at 11 am.
There will be watermania once again at 1 pm, but for ages up to 7.
Watermania for ages 8-11 will go at 2 pm.
The watermania events will take place by the museum; don’t forget to bring your towel.
A Trout Festival Parade will follow at 6:30 pm.
Prizes of $25 will be awarded to the Best Decorated Bike, Truck/ATV, and Stroller with a trout festival theme.
Judging will be at 6:45 pm at the school.
Prizes will be awarded at the Trout Festival Supper.
Lastly, at 10 pm, the evening will close out with fireworks at the Hebron area of Makkovik.
