The Makkovik Inuit Community Government has some plans for 2020.
We spoke with the AngajukKâk, Barry Andersen.
He says they are in process for a new housing sub division for 20 new houses and are getting ready to send it to tender later on this winter for a contract.
The arena is now in operation with hockey and ice rental.
Andersen says that they are getting ready to hire people for the groom trail to make a trail from Makkovik to Separation Lake, which is half way to Goose Bay.
He would also notify the public that they are in process of looking to hire a Community Administrative Officer and has a new Recreation Director in training, Corey Pottle.
Other than that, Andersen says that they got regular operations going on such as collecting garbage and thawing out freezing pipes.
