Literacy Camp Counsellor

The Summer Literacy Camp will be going ahead again this summer.

We spoke with Mark Anto who is the Regional Camp Coordinator for Frontier College.

They have camps in 135 communities across Canada, and their main office in located in Montreal.

They hold and manage camps in the Cree and Inuit communities of Northern Quebec, in Nunavut and 4 here in Nunatsiavut.

He says they extended the deadline date for the Summer Literacy Camp Counsellor positions to ensure that they can hire enough counsellors.

Anto says they will have camps in Nain, Hopedale, Makkovik and Rigolet this summer.

Training will be in Makkovik on June 28-30 and then camp will start on July 8-26.

Camp will run from 9:30am-3:30pm every day and will take place at the school.

Right now, their teams are set in Makkovik and Rigolet, but they are looking for counsellors in Nain and Hopedale.

If you have any questions or wish to apply, please contact Mark Anto by email at manto@frontiercollege.ca or by phone at 1-866-528-1001 ext. 6
