Hebron Archeology Project

Thomas Tuglavina of Hopedale has been selected to go to Hebron as part of the Nunatsiavut Government’s Hebron Archeology Project.

Lena Onalik, the Archeologist for the Nunatsiavut Government says that selections were made on Friday and a family was first selected but had turned down the offer and so the next family with the highest votes was selected to go.

The Tuglavina family will be leaving for Hebron by plane and transported to Hebron by helicopter from Saglek on August 7th and will stay there until August 14th, 2021.

The family will have activities such as fishing, storytelling, visiting old homesteads, and just reminiscing their time at Hebron.
