The Santa Claus Parade will be taking place in Happy Valley –Goose Bay this weekend.
The parade will start on Saturday, December 7th and will promptly start at 6 pm.
Town Officials will be in the lead with Santa.
The lineup of floats and vehicles will start between 4:30 and 5 pm.
Town Staff will be located at certain road placements and will be assisted by Dominic Demers and Ann Morris. Placement in the parade is rotated. It does not matter what street you will be lined upon, you will be guided into the parade sporadically (occasionally).
You are to please park your car at the Knight of Columbus, Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish or Elizabeth Goudie Building and walk to the school.
The parade will end at the College of the North Atlantic.
There will be awards presented for- best illuminated entry, best decorated, best adherence to the Theme of ”Cabin Christmas and best Commercial Entry.
Treat bags have been prepared by the Volunteer Fire fighters and Santa will meet the children at the College Gym.
