The 1st Alumni Sports Meet will be starting here in Nain today, October 10th and runs until the 14th.
Vyann Andersen is the Mental Health and Addictions Worker with DHSD in Postville.
She says there will be participants from Nain, Hopedale, Postville, Makkovik and Rigolet.
As teams arrive today they begin with the Table Tennis Encounters.
Here are the events for Day 3 of the Alumni Schedule;
For Saturday, October 12th, starting at 9 am there will be Women’s 50 m Dash followed by Men’s 50 m Dash at 9:45.
At 10:30 will be the Women’s Running Long Jump and will have the Men’s Running Long Jump at 11 am.
In the afternoon, starting at 1 pm they will begin with the Women’s Ball Throw, 1:45 Men’s Ball Throw.
In the afternoon at 2:30, they will have the Women’s Standing Long Jump and Men’s Standing Long Jump at 3:15.
In the evening at 6 pm, they will have Inuit Games such as Thong pull, and Push ups.
