Community Healing and Commemoration Sessions Continuing On In Nain

Community healing and commemoration sessions are designed for former students to tell the stories of their residential school experiences.

Sessions will be facilitated by Jim Igloliorte and attended by health support workers.

A sharing circle started this morning in Nain at 9 am, and runs until 5 pm today at the Pulâpvik Room in the Parks Canada building.

Rides are available upon request for residential schools survivors only.

If you need a ride, you can call either Reginald Maggo at 922-1210, or Richard Okkuatsiak at 922-1985.

Individual sessions will be available at the Pulâpvik Room tomorrow for those who need them.

Survivors are asked to make appointments with Igloliorte for this.

If you would prefer to share your stories from your home, please contact Jim Igloliorte at aadnc.healing-commemoration-guerison.aandc@canada.ca, and they will schedule a visit.
