The coastal communities are soon finishing the school year next week.
In Nain, on the 23rd they will have sports day for just for the students, and on the 24th students will be dismissed at 12:30pm. There will be awards that day per grade level.
The town of Hopedale held their celebration for the kindergarten’s last week.
In Postville, their awards night is for students only on the last day of school.
Rigolet has no plans on the go due to COVID-19 restrictions.
In Makkovik, their school is holding a Grad for grades K-12 starting 10am, on the last day of school, this is closed to public.
Jennifer Price is the kindergarten teacher in Makkovik, she will have a grand walk with a graduation theme song playing for the 3 students in kindergarten. There will also be an outdoor picnic for the parents only, a table will be set for each family along with some cake, presentations, and photos.
The last day of school will be on Thursday, June 24, 2021.
