Coastal Grads

The Grad students are very busy with preparing for their special day.

We contacted schools from the north coast.

The Cap and Gown was held at the BL Morrison School on Postville on May 16 and the Graduation was on May 17 of this year.

There are three students graduating this year and the theme was, “Oh the places we’ll go”.

The graduation at the Jens Haven Memorial School here in Nain was held this past Saturday, May 18.

There were 9 graduates who had their church service followed by a prom.

Their theme for this year is “We didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun”.

The Graduation ceremony, Prom, and Cap and Gown for this year in Rigolet will be held on Saturday, May 25th.

They have 2 grad students who will be graduating, and their theme is “Passport around the World”.

In Hopedale the Graduation ceremony and the Cap and Gown ceremony will be taking place on Saturday, June 1.

Dean Coombs the Principal at the Amos Comenius School in Hopedale.

He says nine students will be graduating this year, one female and eight male.

And their grad theme this year is “Vegas”.

Students head to their church service at 2pm then get their pictures done, then go to the reception and return to the school for their meal and ceremony.

Amalia McNeil the Clerk for the J.C. Erhardt Memorial School in Makkovik.

She says they don’t have any students who will be graduating this year.
