The Torngat Secretariat caribou collaring mission has turned out to be quite successful.
Trish Nash, Wildlife and Plants Research Manager for Torngat Secretariat, and Joseph Townley, an NG conservation officer, stopped off in Nain yesterday on their way back to Goose Bay.
With the help of Charles Jutras of the Quebec Ministry, they managed to collar 22 caribou.
They originally were hoping to collar 14 animals.
